Abstract
One hundred one-day old of growing Pekin ducklings were used to study the effect of magnetic water treatment (MWT) and diclazuril or essential oil mixture (EOM) supplementation on growth performance, some blood biochemical parameters and histopathology of the intestine in growing Pekin ducklings. Duckling chicks was allotted into 4 equal groups (25 per each). Group one fed on the basal diet without any treatment, while group 2, 3 and 4 fed on the basal diet with 1mg diclazuril/kg diet, or with 66mg EOM/liter of water or with magnetic water treatment respectively. Statistical analysis revealed that supplementation of 1mg dicllazuril /kg diet, 66mg EOM/liter or MWT non significantly (P > 0.05) improved duckling body weight by about 1.9%, 2.3% or 4.4% respectively when compared with control group. On the other hand, diclazuril addition deteriorate average FCR, PER and PI of growing Pekin ducklings when compared with the control, while EOM and MWT improved FCR, PER and PI throughout the whole experimental period when compared with the control. It was observed that different treatment had no significant effect on blood hematology, blood serum cholesterol and triglycerides, while diclazuril addition increased blood serum creatinine and uric acid. On the other hand, dicllazuril had no significant effect on phagocytosis, however, EOM or MWT non significantly improved phagocytic activity of growing Pekin duckling when compared with control. Regarding ileal content viscosity, it was observed that essential oil mixture or magnetic water treatment increased viscosity of the ileal content when compared with control uninfected group while diclazuril had no clear effect on ileal content viscosity. It was observed that diclazuril addition in growing Pekin ducklings increase necrosis and lymphoid depletion of ileum wall when compared with control while, EOM supplementation improve the necrosis and return ileal wall to its normal tissues and normal intestinal villi when compared with control. Moreover, MWT increased intestinal villi length which confirm improvement of nutrient absorption and body weight of growing Pekin ducklings when compared with control.

Key words: Pekin ducklings, Magnetic water, Essential oil mixture, Diclazuril, Growth performance, Intestinal health.
