Abstract
Many women nowadays suffer from muscle cramps, and this also occurs during pregnancy, Pregnant women may have to take medication to relieve this pain. One of these treatments is cyclobenzaprine. The current study was conducted on pregnant female mice by giving them an aqueous solution of the drug from the first day of pregnancy. The mice were divided into three groups, the first was the control group, the second was explained in (D11), and the third was explained in (D17). The results showed that the treatment had a large number of effects, including the death of a large number of fetuses, the phenotypic changes that occurred in the uterine horns, and the phenotypic deformities that appeared in the fetuses on the two days of the experiment, including Hemorrhage, Myoma, Physocephalic, Absence of Eye, Macrohinia. And a number of pathological tissue changes, including focal infiltration of mononuclear inflammatory cells in the sub-mucosal layer, neutrophilic infiltrates The study concluded that this treatment causes many side effects and that pregnant women should be careful when taking it or any type of medication during pregnancy.
