Abstract
In this study, gelatin (GE) will be used as a carrier to enhance platelet-rich plasma's (PRP) effects on the wound-healing process. PRP/GE was created by conjugating 20% GE with freshly prepared autologous PRP. Following rabbits with experimentally generated full-thickness skin wounds, the ability of the skin to regenerate was evaluated. Evaluation considered the macroscopic features of wounds, wound healing rate % and histologic findings for specimens collected after 3, 10 and 21 days. The PRP/GE treated wounds revealed noticeably improved and better closure. This improvement may be attributable to the advantages of combining PRP with GE as a bioactive substance that may regulate the release of growth factors and support angiogenesis. It might be concluded that PRP/GE has the ability to quicken the healing process. The therapeutic impact of PRP was boosted by the GE carrier. According to these data, PRP/GE may be suggested as a viable therapy for wound healing.

Key words: PRP, gelatin, wound healing, full-thickness wounds, bioactive material, skin regeneration, growth factors
